Are you a huge basketball fan? I am not but my husband is a huge fan so when we scored tickets to the opening game here in OKC to see the Thunders VS Wizards I took this opportunity to make the kids custom shirts.
So I went to find some shirt I could customize to fit my kids. These were the two I found and it was perfect! I had to make sure I picked quick patterns because we got the tickets on Monday and the game was on Friday.
They are adult size shirts. For my son I made him a simple raglan. I use the Jolly Roger Raglan pattern from Patterns for Pirates because i love the fit of this and it was so quick and easy to make. I also used some navy blue fabric from Hobby Lobby to help with the sleeves and neckband.
For my daughter, who loves to be extra, I made her the cold shoulder tunic from Ellie and Mac. She told me that she wanted her shoulder out so of course I had to make it for her. I also used some fabric I had that match for the arms and the skirt.
These were a great fit for my kids and everyone loved their shirts. My son also was selected to hand out the game ball! This was such an amazing experience for all of us and I am so happy I could make them custom outfits to go along with it.
